What are Membership Meet-Ups?
Meet-Ups bring together experts from across the Legion to help build relationships with Legion members. As a member, this is an opportunity for you to start a conversation, connect with others and find out what the charity is doing. It’s about bringing together everyone who shares an interest in the Legion and building great things out of our passion. All members are invited to attend and share their experience!
Who will be there?
We always want as many people from across the Legion to come together. Our Area teams are on hand to provide the local focus whilst other Legion teams are there to provide specialist information, such as fundraising and volunteering.
Everyone is invited to attend. Bring along your friends, family members, and anyone else you know who is interested in the Legion!
This is also a great opportunity to involve community representatives selected for the Great Pilgrimage 90 to find out more about the organisation they support. Whether you attend an event before or after GP90, these Meet Ups can help inform them of our purpose as a membership organisation, and understand the importance of your branch in the community.
Why should I attend?
You are a vital part of our national network and are involved in all that we do, from fundraising during the Poppy Appeal in the local supermarket, to providing local community support to our beneficiaries. We want to support you in the work that you do.
Meet-Ups bring representatives of the Legion to one venue, giving you a single point from which to explore the topics that matter to you and ask the questions you want answered. We share inspiring stories and examples of where branches and members have really made a difference in their communities. You can encourage others to follow in your footsteps.

What will the day look like?
Much like the Annual Conference marketplace, the Membership Meet Up events are an opportunity for you to explore the work of the Legion at your own pace, make connections and socialise with staff and members alike. Each event has a series of break-out sessions alongside the main exhibition, so if you want to pop and learn about a particular topic then you can.

Teams & Topics
Membership Hub - The core feature of the Annual Conference exhibitions, the Hub is a place for Branch reps to deal with a whole host of membership enquiries, whether this is to do with recruitment, renewals or the member experience.
Fundraising - Big or Small, the Legion raises funds through working with Corporate Partners right down to the community level. Explore the ways we raise funds and what this means to our beneficiaries.
Public Affairs & Public Policy - The PAPP team represent the Legion to various levels of government and lobby for policy change that improves the lives of our beneficiaries. Find out how to support their campaigns and share your experience to help build new ones.
Property - Does your branch own a Legion property? Meet the Property team and the Branch Property Trust team to learn some of the legal nuances of Legion property.
Clubs - Are you a Club Secretary or Club Chairman? Our Regional Club Relationship Managers will be on hand to offer advice and guidance relating to all things Legion Clubs.
Marketing - Promoting the Legion can be a complex art with multiple media channels available through Web and Face to Face. Meet the team responsible and explore how you can help further the reach of the Legion's cause.
